Image-based lighting (IBL) is the process of illuminating scenes and objects with a representation of light information from the real world.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) images are combined with Illumination to create incredibly realistic light simulations in your Clara.io scene.
You can import your own environment maps into Clara.io using hdr, .exr, or .tiff files.
Alternatively, Clara.io has nearly 20 HDR environment maps to choose from, which can be applied by visiting the Material Library > HDR Environments in the Editor.
This tutorial will quickly show you how to set up image-based lighting in Clara.io.
